The Breath of God

I began to ponder that thought. In Genesis 2:7 it reads ” And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”

What could all be detailed in the action perform at the birth of the sinnless man? I started to dig and think, so between the Bible , books and Gods help, I have come up with some thoughts. You can add to or correct me , I would be eager to hear your ideas too.

His breath, that was breath into Adam and therefore to all humans. Was His righteousness and holiness. Directly from God Himself was the ability to closely commune with Him. And God saw that it was good.

But then the fall of man broke that connection, to be restored at our converision. Colossians 2:9,10 ” For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him……. again. Holiness restored as Eph. 4:24 says the new man brings back the righteousness and true holiness.

And with that forming of Adam and Gods breath the mind came into play here to. Adam named all the animals, again a big part of God involved in naming the animals. The brain we can’t duplicate it even yet, far to complex. We can tell a computer to do a task but first it has to be programmed.

And the final thought is His breath in us lives on and on , even as unsaved , Gods breath and all it entails lives on. And where that will lead is up to our free will. Any thoughts to add or revisit are more than welcome.

  2. Awesome revelation; I would like to add that GOD made Adam male & female Genesis 1:27 KJ. Adam female wasn’t called Eve until she ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, since they made Armor belts out of fig leaves the fruit was a fig. We humans don’t read what we read in the word of GOD! We need to be more receptive looking into & studying GOD’S word! I’m guilty of reading but not really reading it 2 Timothy 3:16,17 All scripture IS profitable…. right now so I’m reading & reading to learn GOD’S word for my spiritual growth. Amen

  3. Given that we are made up of raw elements, that our chemical makeup is of earth elements, what is it about those elements that makes us special? Animation. God’s breath is what animated us, to cause us to be more than the sum of our parts. Without it, we are but dry elements (dust) that adding water will not animate.
